This thread is not a bash and is not meant to be a bash, please don't turn it into one. The Elite rep is coming into the shop next week. Anything I should know about the line or questions I should ask. We already carry the big 3. Mathews, Hoyt and Bowtech. I have some HARD questions for this guy. My biggest concern as a shop owner, excluding the lawsuit, is the fact that Elite has stated Gander Mountain is going to get these bows.
Elite Everything I have seen and heard says they are very good bows. Just to me they are Bowtech knockoffs. Why have a knockoff when you can own the real deal?? Good luck and keep us informed Chris. I agree also if the box stores have them then you probably will not want them??
Actually, we do have a Gander Mtn near by. I talked to another dealer about 40 miles from here and we had similar concerns about stocking them. However, he already had one he was testing. Said it shot really well and was really fast.
Very affordable Barnsdale limbs- Best limbs money can buy Winner choice strings- High dollar value. Bows a winner and Elite if there lawsuit with Bowtech goes OK, they will do well. Im not easily impressed. But Im impressed with the willingness to offer a good bow at affordable price.
I've heard of I believe an E-500 and an Energy I think not sure but the website it www.elitearchery.com I did hear that their fast bow was about 10-12fps slower than the alligience not sure about smoothness though.
Well, the rep came in last night. The bows are nice. I didn't chrono one against the bowtechs. Draw force seems to be a little harsher (is that a word) compared to the bowtechs. No handshock on the E500, but it had the STS like device on it, very, very little on the rest of the line. I am waiting to see the results of the lawsuit before I would consider adding the bow line. I have heard from the rumor mill that a judgement is expected this week or next.
Just my two cents on bow lines. Don't carry to many lines. I'm sure Elite is a great line just like the three you already have and the other seven or eight still left. You start to not do the others justice if you have to many. For every Elite you sell, its one less Mathews, Bowtech or Hoyt. Only you can decide how many lines are enough. Put your money in accessories. You can never have to much of that.
