fletching contact

    with my two prong rest when i shoot there is always a white smudge on the rest between the prongs and im not getting the accuracy im used to, i have to assume the fletching is hitting it on the shot, ive tryed every thing but i cant stop it from hitting..................any ideas

    are your arrows spinned correctly for your setup??


    have you tried other rests??

    are you using a helical fletch??

    Where is the smudge??? on the bar that holds the prongs???
    You need to turn the prongs up so the fletching clears that bar...or use a lower profile vane...

    i did turn the prongs up so it looks like theres no way it could hit but the smudge still appears!!

    Okay...Is this a new setup or did you change the rest or anything else...

    What brand of rest is it? Can you increase the spring tension on the prongs?

    you can and i kept tightning the spring tension but it still hit so i made it completely stationary and it still hits!

    then i think you need to raise/lower your nock point....

    here is tha rest tha it have used fer 24 yrs and harvested 3 0r 4 sacks full of deers with it. Golden Futura Hunter supreme. simple
    If it can tear up in tha woods it will. this is a fail safe rest. simple but deadly. if go with it pm me fer some simple instructions on the best

    well if it is contacting the rest like that I would think that it is way high and as the string comes foward it is throwing it down into the rest......:noidea:

    I had one of those on my first compound, a Bear Whitetail Hunter, years ago. You still hunt with that thing?
