This is exactly what is happening. We had better wake up to that fact.

    Free Corn...Is It Really Free?

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One Day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the Matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting Communists in his native country who were trying to Overthrow his country's government and install a new Communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the Professor and asked a strange question. He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?" The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke.

"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The Pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the Fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the Last side. The pigs, which are used to the free Corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and Catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around Inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."

The young man then told the professor that is Exactly what he sees happening in America. The Government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free Corn out in the form of programs such as Supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, Tax cuts, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy Subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), Welfare, medicine, drugs, and pork barrel projects while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths: There is no Such thing as a free lunch and you can never hire Someone to provide a service for you cheaper than You can do it yourself.

If you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of Democracy in America, you might want to send this On to your friends. If you think the free ride is
Essential to your way of life, then you will probably delete this email. But God help you when the gate slams shut!

The only thing I can add to this is a question for you......Which candidates out there are most anxious to spread around the free corn, and what might their motives be? Think about it.

My family has fought in every United States Conflict since the War of 1812. We didn't fight, and some die, for our Country to be given over to other nations or converted to the very type of government we fought against. But, guess if you don't have the gut to suit-up then you really don't have what it takes to care about what the changes may bring.

Just like cattle to the slaughter.

I agree... If people can't see what's going on then I don't know what to say.

    Case in point...

The sate of IL passed a no smoking law this past year effective Jan 1. NO SMOKING in ANY public place, period. So, your backyard, garage, house and car are about the only places you can smoke. I don't smoke and I never have and I think that is the biggets bunch of BS I have heard in a long time. You can smoke but it has to be at least 15 feet from the entry way. The sidewalks in downtown Chicago used to be very clean. Guess what folks, now they are just one giant smelly cigarette butt... What an impression that makes for out of town visitors, who won;t want to come back and spend money in IL because the streets and sidewalks stink and look terrible.

What's going to happen in IL is that people who want to drink, eat and smoke will drive across borders to Iowa, Indiana, Missouri and Kentucky to light up and spend their money there. Taxes in Illinois will go up for everybody because of lost revenue due to lost income tax and cigarette taxes. Many small mom and pop businesses will shut down and more revenue will be lost. Heck, people already drive across borders because gas is quite a bit cheaper out of state. More lost IL revenue that every IL resident is going to have to cover somehow.

That's not exactly comparing my point to Wheel's post but if you look around our rights are being diminished all the time and our out of pocket expenses continue to rise to fund the moron Bush heading to Putin's 'Summer Home' on the Black Sea for the weekend on the tax payer's dollar... Our tax dollars at work my friends... Get those taxes files on time everyone, so the government can figure out a way to squander the cash.

Maybe there is no other country that's better than the USA but we don't have to like what's going on...

Ahhhh... That feel's better. It's been a log day and I deserved that rant.
