I recently put together some goldtip series 22 pro shafts. These were going to be shot from a ProElite. I decided to test them in the hooter shooter unfletched. I put the Goldtip Pin Nock bushings in them and installed the pin nocks. At 20 yards from the hooter shooter. The all hit the same hole. This is unfletched. If you have access to one of these machines try this some time with carbons. If they are not good ones, you will see horrible groups. These arrows are not setup with 2.25 quikspins and are flying really good.
i shoot the same arrow with quikspin 2.25 vanes and i love them.they are the first carbon arrows i have ever bought and i think i will stick with them.well good shooting y'all.
Hoyt&MuzzyMan, Are you running uni-bushing for you knocks, and what tips are you running. How is your arrow setup? Thanks, Matt
gold tip i shoot the 22 series ultalite with 75 grain point and 4 inch feathers. they fly outstanding
I have been shooting series 22 pro's for about 3 years, These are the most consistant and durable arrows i have found. For target i use 130 grains up front and 1.8" duravanes on the back. I also use bushings and beiter nocks. For hunting i use the G5 montec 100gr, and get the same flight as my target arrows. you can shoot them into wood at 70#'s, pull them out and still be able to shoot them without any problem.
Thinkng about making the switch? I recently bought the Cxl2's and am happy with there performace,but.. Being as strait or straiter, being almost exactly the same size, and costing 40 dollars less is making me consider it. I really think I just might have to after all I like the things that are made in the good ole U.S of A..... too.
