Here is my string after 50 shots.....
Here is the culprit. Doesn't take much at all. Barely noticeable with the naked eye.....
I hate when that happens.
Is that your new Pantera?
Nope. It is on my Scepter. The Pantera isn't here yet. So, now I am bowless again....
DANG! That really sucks.
Can't you take a little 400 grit to the cam and reserve the string?
I will be sanding the cam, but a string builder I'm not.... I'll have to take it somewhere to get it reserved and I pretty much live in the boonies....
I feel your pain there. Our nearest one stoplight town is about 10 miles away.
We did get a stop sign a few years ago.
I live in a town of 2000. We had one stop light up until 5 or 6 years ago when we got a caution light....
send me your string and ill reserve it for ya :biggrin1:
You should talk to Le Earl and get one of his dvd's.
Those dvd's of his are a Godsend to people like us who don't have the luxury of a good pro shop right down the street.
Want me to loan you a PSE?
Thank you for that offer. However, I may live in the boonies, but I'm not a 4 day drive from the nearest shop.....:biggrin1:
Wouldn't I then still be bowless???  :tape:
HI bud you can not reserve the string your self? Dang it is EZ as pie.
I'm researching that as we speak. As I understand things, I need to have the string under tension to reserve it. Looking at some string jig ideas as we speak...eace:
Heck, to reserve the end like that, all you need is a good phillips screwdriver through each loop, and two guys playing tug of war for a few seconds while you serve it up.
But BC can you not repair that serving? If you have a way to draw the bow and keep it back. Then unwind the serving far enough to end serve it. Then serve in a extension to make it the right length. Would that not work?
No doubt you could. The only thing that I personally would not do is get my hands in there unless the bow was tied down to a good press. Possibly a hooter shooter would suffice.
I have some friends that I really trust, but not enough to hold a bow at full draw while I am serving it.:tape:
Draw board is ez to make with a 2X4 and a few nails and a tie down strap.
