I have three recurve bows that I bought back in the mid 70's and thought that I would list them on Ebay. Have any of you sold bows this way and how do I pack them? Where do I get a box long enough for a recurve bow?

I've never sold a recurve but I would imagine it would be much easier then shipping a compound. Just don't string the limbs, put in a box and ship it:)

typically I put a layer of bumble wrap at the bottom of the package and at the top (where the cams would be) and then I use some newspaper or brown paper to keep it from moving. Haven't had a problem yet.

  4. I taped two of the triangular boxes available at your post office together.

you can also get shipping tubes(like big paper towel rolls) if you can't find them check a place that sells carpet or linoleum, they just throw them out...just wrap the bow up good in bubble wrap and cap the ends of the tube w/ wads of paper and tape them up...
