Rule states arrow must weigh 5gpp of bows max draw weight.

Will they go by the sticker on the bow or the scale?

Example: 70lb on sticker but it draws 74lb, which should I go by????:noidea:

IBO speed is achieved by setting a bow at exactly 70 pounds of draw weight and 30 inches w/ nothing on the string and a 350 grain arrow

So if you are pulling 74 pounds you won't get the accurate IBO speed :)

I would also say scale. From what I understand you don't want your arrows any less than 5 grains per pound that you are pulling or it can be hard on your bow. I'd be careful with that.

I think he is more worried that his setup will not be legal at a IBO shoot......

I agree they will go by the scales. But to play a little devils advocate here does this mean that we should set our bows at whatever the limbs are labeled??? What I mean is my bow is a 70# bow but will max out around 72-73 should I back out the limb bolts to set it at 70# since the limbs are marked 70?????
