Here is a strange one, Have any of you guys/gals heard of this:

Since my bow hasn't sold, I decided to start getting it ready for the hunting season and took it to the club. Prior to this year I was using it for 3D only and had no string leaches on it. I put the leaches back in today…

But for giggles, I chrono'd it prior to the leaches --- 277 fps. After the leaches were put in 279 fps.

05 UtlraTec – 28.5 draw, 63 lbs / 350 grain arrow. (These are not my hunting arrows, but my old 3D arrows)

I thought these things were to slow the bow down??? :noidea:

sometimes depending on the location, they can actually act like speed buttons....

now the real thing is if you could find room for like 50 of them:lol:

Thats, what I thought... If I had time, I would like to be able to play around with it and see what the right combo would be to get the best perfromace out of the string.

    Thankyou!

    Bowman & Jayare
Ive been telling people on here that anything you add heavier to your string increases speed! They say it slows it down, then why do they make speed balls?
In my case the Metal-D adds 2 fps to me & my sons bows ive crono'ed with and without!
Thanks again for clearing the weight on the string thing up!:usa:

    nope!

When i first tried one i felt the same!
    I got use to it!
I think they wouldnt let them sell them in cabelas and bass pro and everywhere if they damaged strings & releases!
They would have law-suits buy now
And if they put someones eye out they wouldnt still be on the market!
+ if they do my ol lady will get a good chunk of change!

The metal D is in the center of the string and should slow your bow down. The speed balls and leeches are out toward the wheels and will speed your bow up. At least that is what I have found.:noidea:
