Has anyone ever removed inserts once glued into the arrow? Is there a special process or tool, maybe a solvent to soften the epoxy?

Screw a field point, and slowly heat the point, not the arrow itself. Grab the point with a pair of pliers and try to twist it out. If it doesn't move heat the point a little more at a time until it starts to move.

Thanks Joe. The arrow is an Easton Super Slim - it's an aluminum tube wrapped in a carbon weave. Will the heat do any damage to the end of the arrow?

It shouldn't, you just need to go slow with the heat.
