How often should they be replaced for some reason all of my d-loops look like they frey rather quickly. Can I use dental floss to serve the d-loop to aid against wear and tear. I shoot almost everyday.
take a look at your release and make sure that there isn't any thing causing this. I have had the same loop for about 35k shoots with no problem
Your loop should last 6 months or more. If it is fraying, you have a burr on your release. Get it fixed asap.
Get a piece of emory cloth and go to town on the jaw. Can you tell where the fray is. Would it be on the top of bottom of the release?
cheap loop material will go fast if ya shoot alot. I got myself some from BCY. Have had it a year and still going strong.
Take a dry cotton swab or pantyhose (borrow set from BOWMAN :biggrin1: ) and go all around the release jaws..... the swab or hose should show exactly where the burr is....... Good luck!
You need to be careful with that wear or you'll be posting a thread like the one Wheels had up about a fat lip.
Exactly what I was going to post. If there is no burr then its probably cheap loop material.eace:
