Little less than 40 but I was not comfortable with the shot... Worked out OK but I would probably not do it again. Ron
I had a clean miss at 10 yrds...no idea what happened to this day...Beautiful broadside and I shot short...
How far! When i was 18 i flung one at a monster buck on a gas line 75 yards didnt touch him, about 8 inches right behind his front leg but low. The club later killed that buck with a rifle he was carried al over town. 14pts 26in wide with 2 droptines over 200pounds probable score 150 but was never scored. That shot even at 75 yds and 28years ago is imbedded in my mind! The longest shot and killed 41yds but i wouldnt take it that far now! Now the farthest about 35 if i know its 35.:biggrin1:
Farthest on a deer was 53, got him right in the Boiler room, he went about 30 yards and tipped over, farthest on a elk was 72, was a good hit, but i went right after him and got a 2nd shot at 50, also a good one, went about 60 70 yards and went down. My 2 deer last year were 30 and 33.
cool i like yore frankness and it severs as what can happen ta tha creatures God has given to us to respect and enjoy. Thanks BA
40 and 38 but I knew tha yards and I practice faithfully from a stand at longer distances. i will usually let em come in ta tha skillet range. 15 yards:hungry:
I'm confident out to 40...but that mourning I swore she was at 33-34...Hit her real low...but I saw her bed about 100yrds out so I just let her sit all day...Found her right there after lunch...I was real releaved...I lost one the year before , made me sick not finding that deer...
10 point, 130 pounds fd...... 48 yards.... dbl lung shot... he stood there for a few minutes.... seemed like it anyway then turned and walked away.... then i was second guessing myself..... then 2 hours later i went and retrieved arrow as to not jump him and saw the results.... he walked abot 20 yards and laid down and went to sleep....
38 yards is my farthest. Double lung. He walked about twenty yards and stopped, did the "everything is going dark" dance and fell over.
