I like Wasp fixed blades and Rocket mechanicals. I still want to try the Slick Tricks, just haven't taken the time.
broadheads the best broadheads are made by NAP. fly great. tough as nails, best sharpening job. Iknow where there is a steel pipe gate with a TH 125 imbedded in the bottom pipe, could not get it out so just unscrewed the shaft.
been shooting the montec G5 the past few years and they work like a champ... 180 pound buck with an 85 grain and he went 30 yards and went to sleep
For the most part almost any of the more popular ones should fill the bill. How well they work is going to depend on how much attention to detail you use installing them and tuning them to shoot out of your bow. I still shoot my four year old (ancient) InnerLoc's. They're similar to Muzzy, but made to tighter tolerances----and they were free. I pay more attention to blade retention; how the blades are locked to the ferrule. I've seen too many blades get left in an animal when bone is hit. The blades gotta stay attached to the ferrule. I don't like gutting an animal with a blade waiting for my hand inside. Much as I hate to say it there hasn't been much going on the last ten years worth raving about, with the possible exception of the short bladed heads and steel ferrules for strength. Mechanicals just don't do it for me.
