I'll be gone for the next week... deer camp in Maine! Lots of beer, lots of stories... NO FRICKEN DEER! see ya'll next week
I think that would violate one of the 10 commandments of the Deer camp... #2: Thou shalt drink thy beer and thou shalt not trade they beer unless the trade involves more beer or other alcoholic beverage. it would also violate #6 #6: Thou shalt not covet they neighboring camps deer nor shalt thou care that they hit said deer with their truck and are now claiming it as a harvest buck.
sounds like the ideal hunting trip to me. no worries about dragging deer out, cleaning them, cutting them up. the only worry would be running out of beer. were is this camp at and how do I get there.
Rangeley is a fantastic area. Keep in mind the weather while hunting. If it gets extremely cold or rainy, look for them in the Cedar Swamps. If windy, forget it. The deer will be too spooked.
Stalking and posting... no where up there to "Expect" the deer to come by. should be about 10 of us at camp. No snow or rain in the forecast but thats liable ot change any minute.
GOOD LUCK:rockon: Big D Hope the weather changes for the better. Never go into a deer camp thinking there are'nt any deer around.......thats just wrong.
Good luck Dreadly Hope ya get a big one. And ............BE SAFE........... ................DONT CARRY THE GRILL>>>> J/J ya know i had ta throw that in. Really man be carefull we want ya back in 1 piece and watch out for the Moose crossing the road there alot bigger than deer..eace:
Like was said, watch out for the moose. Check out the trout at the grates down by Rivers Edge Sports. There just sitting there trying to spawn, some are huge! Have fun/be safe (hard to do both)
