Sunday, and as I always do about this time of year, I took my Switchback completely apart. Just getting ready for the up coming archery season. Took the limbs off the riser and inspected the limbs and pockets. Removed the cams and idler wheel and inspected the bushings, put it all back together, installed new string and cable, installed peep, Bowjax on string and cable, re-installed sight and put on a new WB rest, leveled nock point, tied new nocks, installed new D-loop, and lasered windage adjustment. I then took the bow out to shoot and to my amazement it shot perfect. No fishtailing or porposing, just a dot going away. It did shoot a little to the right at 40yrds and with one adjustment it was corrected. And for the past 4 days it still shoots great. Amazing, this has never happened in the past. No fine tuning required at this time. The only thing different is I switched from 4" Dura Vanes to 2" blazers. Could this have something to do with my good arrow flight.....not sure, would they would make that big of a difference. I think I just got lucky.....or maybe I am getting better at this.
