My present bow is 8 years old, very forgiving and reliable but with todays technoligy I feel I can upgrade into something that is faster, quieter, and still be forgiving to a 58 year old with bad shoulders. I do realize self prefference varies a lot and there are a bundle of choices.
I do value the oppinion of my fellow bow hunters. So let me have it.
    Thanks

I just went through the bow shopping expierience...

The 2 I really liked were the Diamond Black ice and the Pearson Z-34...
    Both single cams...
    Diamond was $600
and the Pearson was $550...but the pearson was faster...

  11. Take a look at the Mission bows made by Mathews and also look at the Martin lineup of bows. Both are reasonally priced and have very good preformance.

One of the smoothest drawing cams there is right now is the Martin MPro. One of the nicest bows you can get with this cam is the 2008 MOAB. The bow compares very favorably with some other models costing as much as $300 more. Cost should be about $450.

This is advice coming from a 60 year old with bad shoulders. The other thing is I have come to realize there is no need to shoot more than about 55# anymore. The bows are that efficient.

I agree on the Martin M-Pro cam bows. Very smooth drawing. I shoot an '07 Pantera and it is the smoothest drawing bow I have ever shot.
