My wife is wanting to start in archery. We are looking at Bowtech, Mathews, and hoyt. She has been to the range and has determined that she is comfortable with a 40-50lb pull. We are looking for advice and views of others out there that have been out there in this situation. Thanks in advance.

just keep in mind...buying a mathews/bowtech/hoyt and then buying accessories will put you well over 350. Look in the classifieds on here or archerytalk.com good deals in both places!

HookEm is correct! If you know her DL and her draw weight you should be able to find a lot of great buys on AT and on the classifieds here that will work for her. For most setups its safe to assume at least 150.00 in "accessories" (rest, stabalizer, sight, release, arrows, peep, quiver...) so now you are looking for a bow in the 200.00 range.

I plan on spending 350 on just the bow, acc. not included. She is just looking to target shoot for now but they may change so I want abow that if she does want to go hunting, she can use it for that as well. Thanks.
