Ha u guys in OHIO check in Ive got some ?:noidea:
Whats up KBO??
I got off the phone with my outfitter in adams county.
He said that out of 5 archers no one has downed a deer yet.
Its to hot and the big boys arnt moveing.
There passing up bucks in the 120-130 class.
My questions are:
1: Are you seeing any buck's scraping yet?
2: How hot has it been?
3: when was the last rain yall had and have you had much?
4: are you seeing any bucks trailing does yet?
5: What does the Acorn crop look like?
These are some of the ? ive gotta ask so i can make up a plan.
I know what i do down here works but i need to know if its the same.
Ill be there next sunday and i hope the deer and the temps change soon!
1. I have seen a bunch of scrapes.
2. high 70's. When I shot my two we had a small cold front move through.
3. Last rain was two days ago. Not a lot over the summer but plenty this fall.
4. I have not personally seen them trailing does but have heard from friends that they have seen a couple.
5. The acorn crop is phenomonal this year. They are all over the ground everywhere.
The last week of October and first week of November are typically good weeks here. But the weather has been so screwy. I would pray for some cold fronts to move in while your here. We need some 40 degree weather with a northwest wind and youll be good to go.
1: Are you seeing any buck's scraping yet? yea a whole row of them
2: How hot has it been? too...much heat. colder the last week tho
3: when was the last rain yall had and have you had much? 2 days ago?? about 3 inches
4: are you seeing any bucks trailing does yet? yea...all over the place
5: What does the Acorn crop look like? the deer dont come to fields anymore due to acorns
I hate walkin into an area i havent hunted before.

My Vacation starts this friday until sat nov 4th
Hope they start moveing early!
My outfitter has 2000 acres leased in Licking, pebbles and Adams county
Im staying in a campground he leases next to Brush creek state park.:noidea:
I really dont have a clue about how the deer react up there if theres any difference.
Down here they wont react to grunt calls i believe because everybody does it.
They do come into rattleing not many hunters do it right.
Im takein all my tricks!:noidea: man i need ta get a trailor!
What is tha proper way ta rattle Kenny
Pick him up and shake him:laugh:
Ya,I wish it was that easy.
I use a heavy set of horns of a 9pt i killed with a rifle about 15years ago.
Its kinda like callin turkeys thru trial and error, i called in a few and i had a few hang up.
Use a combination of soft grunts with ticklin tha horns every 10 to 15 minutes to loud crash's after about 45minutes.
Sometimes it works sometimes not.
Depending on the buck to doe ratio
At my club its 50/50 so it works
I hate to tell you this kbo but there are no deer in Ohio...........
I hope thats not true!
Im gonna leave my huntclub where i know the deer are there.
To spend all my $$$ and drive 8 hours, stay in a campground and drive 20 more miles to hunt NO DEER!
man your screwed:laugh:
OK but don't make me tell ya I told ya so:tape:

This was the trail cam pic the outfitter sent me awhile back!
He's got a ladder stand very close to where this pic was taken like 40yds.
He said there have been no kill's yet out of 8 bowhunters its been to hot and they havent been on this track hunting.
They have been turning down alot of 120 class bucks and the big boys aint movein yet.
Man I hope he moves 1/4in away at 20yds!
That has to be photoshoped.......eace:
Ive got several of the same buck!
He told me about his feeders shootin corn out back in july and sent me several pics of some different bucks and this same one comming to the feeder.
Here's the same buck!
Two things I can tell ya....
If you dont have "The Can" by primos.....Then get one! That is the only call that I swear by.
Excluding this year, my last three bucks were killed between november 7th and the 16th.
