Hook and I are going to a "pop-up" shoot tomorrow at Gander. I was wondering if anyone had done this and if you had any tips! :biggrin1:
Pin sight and thumb trigger or index finger release. You won't have time for BT. Don't second guess your yardage....pick a yardage and drop the hammer.
These are a blast… Need to be quick, I did a pop-up long time ago, but still shoot a few moving targets. The trick is stay calm without punching the trigger to hard, because you will do it. And if you do allot of pop-ups / moving targets... you can develop bad habits. But as soon as you shoot, load your next bullet and get ready... specially if it is a random up-pop.
It varies... it all depends on who’s running it. I would shoot a few practice rounds first on them, before you shoot to score.
I've been hesitant to shoot pop ups because of target panic.....I hate to ruch the shot after working for so long to slow it down...
My oldest shooting his round (his form is getting better, if I can just get him to straighten that arm!)
