stopped and payed for it tonight......Mathews says 4 weeks till delivery.... it might just make the Bowman 29 3dshoots smackdown.....and will definetley be going to the dredly 100...... so my question is what is the lightest peep out there w/a medium size hole....I dont like a tiny hole but dont like a huge one either..... I figured out a brass nocking point weighs in at 5 grains and a loop it roughly 9 grains....anyone know what those rubber cussion buttons weigh???.....I may just get a rope head for the true ball and forget the loop...... I ordered a 27.5 as the boss is always telling me I look like my draw is too short.....
:biggrin1: Your gonna need all the help you can get!!!!:biggrin1: "Oh no...... there goes Tokyo, go, go Godzilla!!!"
o.k. so anyone know how much a rubber cussion button weighs??? anybody out there actually read a whole post???
Hey Bowman, congrats on the Prestige. I have not shot one but people in my local shop who did say they are sweet. Yeah, I've seen the G5 peeps in the shop and they look like they are very well made. They are magnesium I believe. Too bad they made them blue instead of black... Nothing blue on my bow... Yet... Ron
Yeah, and they are kind of a funky blue... Weird looking. And, that's the only thing they sell that's blue. Don't ask me... I have no clue. Ron
Why are you worried about the string weight? It'll be plenty fast! What draw weight did you get? @27.5 and 61 lbs, grained out, I got 291. I like super peeps from super ball. You can get the screw in apertures and make the hole any size you want. That way you can always make it the same size as your pin gaurd. You can also screw in a clarifier or verifier if you need it. Just my 2 cents.
I just got back from Scheels in Iowa City. They have 3 sizes. 1/8", 1/4" and 3/8". Man, the 1/8" is really small. The 3/8" is REALLY big. 1/4" sounds fine. They are still blue though. The guy in the shop said it reduces the "halo" that forms around a black peep in bright sun. Halo ? What the heck is he smoking ? I shoot in bright sun all the time and I don't see a halo. Must mean I'm going to hell when I die. Ron
