I just want to know the good and bad of having a STS on my 05 Switchback, I was told today that I did not need one because of the sting suppressors.
I have an 05 Switchback. I did not beleive the bow could be any quieter or smoother......Well boy was I ever wrong. I installed an STS on my bow made the proper adjustments and started shooting it. Took about a dozen shots w/it. Removed it from the bow and took three shots. That was all it took to make me a believer. Feeling was believing. Put it back on and will not shoot any of my bows without one. They are easy to set up, you dont loose any speed. 257 fps before, 257 after. About the only thing you may need help w/is were you serve the string were it contacts the end of the STS. And as far as string suppresors go I know guys who still use string silencers w/them. And if you think the suppresors work on all bows, take a listen some time to a Ovation or Apex, not doing much there i dont think.
We sell STS' by the truckload and I'm not kidding! Nearly every bow that leaves the shop has one on it.
