Ive been using a trophy taker now for about 4 years and i love it i use it for 3d and hunting dont have to worry about fletching clearance or how much helical i put on my vanes THE only way to go
well sir we use ta have a Banner Drop away rest 20 yrs ago.
it would drop when ya shot for the movment of tha shot would trip it> Still got that one.
I am still using a lizard tounge. found it tha most dependable and bullet proof one yet> HS
I use a Trophy Taker on my OG and I have one for my Ovation but its camo so I don't wanna use it
I have a trophy taker on every thing I own. From hunting, 3d, too spots.
Will never change. some day I might switch to another rest ! but havent found a reason to yet.
Drop away rests
I've got schaffer rests on all my bows with the exception of my C3 mathews for indoors. Using the old tried and true Golden key with a lizard tongue. The Schaffer is the most solid and fine tunig rest out there. Tried a lot of others and they are all delegated to my tackle box because of the dependability and tunability of the Schaffers
I use a NAP QT 3000. I have not tried a drop-away yet and probably will not for hunting. Moving parts = parts possibly breaking...
Maybe I'm paranoid but, having said that, I think I am going to try a drop-away for target.
I used to shoot Trophy Taker drop aways up until a week ago. Chris got in some more of those Trophy Taker lizzard tongue rests. I put one of those on and I tell ya it is nice. Simple and efficient.
