Anyone else going to the R100 this weekend? Be there both days shooting with friends. Hope to see you there:wave: Tim
Wish I could Tim. Can't do it. Nice to see a post from ya. FBSA is kind of dissolved however it is nice to hear from folks. I hope you and yours are doing well. You going to Wabash ? And, folks, check out Vortex optics... They are very nice and at a very nice price. Tim is a great guy and it's worth checking his optics out. If you do not you are making a mistake. You might not buy those but at least check them out. Ron
was a real ggod shoot . dont know the final number but they had 729 shooters on saturday . we did pretty good had 12 shooters top guy had 1134 i had 1130 then we had a 1116 , 1111,1098. and a couple in the 1050 range .
Pic's from day one Thanks Ron, Won't be able to make it to Wabash this year, same date as the Vortex Open. We might have to see about another get together for next year - Wabash, Sparta R100 or the Vortex Open???? something for everyone to think about. Very nice shooting! I heard Sunday it was 840+ shooters. Hats off to the club who hosted and Rinehart for having a great event. Here are some pics from both days Had the privilege of shooting both days with Vern (VSA) and his two boys Matthew and Kyle Matthew shooting the giraffe Kyle's turn Rino Vern showing us how it's done. Day 1 we followed a foursome made up of my little brother Brian, Bob, Koolaid and Jarod. For some reason they didn't want me anywhere near them on day 2???? Saturday afternoon VSA, Brian and Koolaid all took part in the Darton Steel Challenge Brian sitting trying to get the best shot angle Vern taking aim Koolaid doing his thing All three made it through but when the scores were added Koolaid was tied for first so it was shoot off time. Ended up going home in 2nd place with a 18 in 1 target.
Day two Sunday morning we started out as a foursome however we found this guy hanging out at the practice bails looking a little lost. He said he hadn't shot a 3D shoot since August of 2009. He also added he used to be a Pro shooter for several years but with his work schedule changing and a injury to an eye he took some time off. We were glad to have him join us for the day. First target to start the day was the bear on the stump After spending sometime with this guy things were starting to add up, however the bow in his hand had me a little:noidea: I was happy with my shooting, no missed targets - that was my goal! Unfortunately not everyone could say the same. VSA messing with his loop, said it was equipment failure - sure...... About half way through I figured out it was JDX-- that had joined us for the day. Sure was great to see him out and about. The new buffalo made its appearance VSA still feeling the heat after his miss. Overall it was a great weekend of shooting with friends. Tim
