I got a chance to shoot the new Guardian from Bowtech two days ago. There are three in the state of MN and i shot the in in Maple Grove at Archery specialists. Absolutley blew my mind. smooth, fast, forgiving, and no recoil whatsoever. I'm not a bowtech man but it did turn my head and open my Eyes. How about y'all ?????
I checked one out. Looks better in person then in the pics. It was heavy to me but that's my opinion.
heavy, i could see that, it was balanced, and it did take a while to understand the visual presentation
Definately an ugly bow but if I can find one I will give it a shot or two or three or four well you get the picture.
I didn't find the weight to be much of an issue. However, I don't hunt out west where weight is such an issue. I can tell you this, it's been real popular in our shop but there are some that just can't get past the looks of it.
I tried one a month and a half or so ago and I agree that it was literally shock free. I'm not "drinking the coolaid" though since I'm confident in my Allegiance and shoot that well. A bow would have to be significantly better than my Allegiance for me to think about spending the money... The Guardian is nice, but not $800 nice. Ron
I shot the guardian a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a very nice shooting bow. One of the pro staff told me not to shoot it because everyone that shot it emptied their wallets out afterwards with a new bow on order.
I wish i had time to go find one and shoot it.....hearring mixed reveiws.... so is your wallet full or empty???
It is now empty with a vectrix xl. I will soon be leaving the dark side and switching back to hoyt, when it comes in. I like the longer axle to axle for 3d and hunting. Still like Mathews, they make great bows. Just going to shoot with what I feel is more comfortable.
Here in Mn alot of what i call band wagon riders are all about unloading on it, and good for them but I personally think its gonna have to prove itself before I pull another one back. I do like the way archers are using technology though.
I was going to buy one............. but it cost to much, i couldnt afford safty glasses. Their shooters though. Smooth fast and quiet!!! Besides i liked the vecrix better, got it and a good pair of safty glasses for less $$$
Hey Bowman, I thought that you were going to come out here on the Island and shoot one? Now we have the Commander and cant believe how this bow shoots. You will be more than happy when you shoot it. Dont forget your wallet though.:decision: Clover and Oats you should try the Commander and then decide on your next bow.
Guardian...... The guardian is one sweet bow. Fast, Quiet, and very well balanced. If I didn't have 2 bows already I would be looking into getting one.
