Tying on your haul line.

    A fellar up in Va showed me this back in '85'
    Had'nt lost a bow yet
    Take and make ya a loop in tha end of your rope that will accommadate your cam and slip it under tha cam .,I do tha top 1
    and back over in front of it over tha top and pull it up tight
    no fumbling with knots in tha dark:Cry:
    yore just hugging tha cam with tha loop
    thahs clearer tha mud I know.

    I have a rope with a plastic clip on the end that I clip onto my idler.

    I can be up in a ladder or chain on stand alot quicker and quieter.:peace:

    Not around here you can't... you need to go figure out where it ended up after someone stole it first then you can put it back up then you can climb it. ITs an east coast thing

    as for how to get my bow up... no problemo

    I have a rope with a loop tied in both end of it and a carabiner (sp? one of those rock climbing things).

    I loop the rope around my climber the other loop goes through a cutout in my riser and then I attach the carabiner to the loop and the rope.

    I used to put the rope around the limb near the cam or through the cam and one time the rope slipped out of my hand as I was pulling it up and dropped about 15 feet and actually pulled hard enough for the string to slide off the cam... I was pissed.

    he is right. also playing around with how you pack your stand makes a difference in the noise factor. the directions from summit have you using 2 "Safety straps" and being all stupid. I use nothing to secure the stand but what is already there and I can unpack it in seconds in the dark without worrying about knots or roaps getting stuck
