nice nice we have quite a crowd i shoot a :

Bowtech liberty #80 .lb well actually about 78# right now,
winners choice string and cables, a 29 1/2 DL
    shooting Goldtip Xt,
    toxonics sight M50 micro-adjust,
muzzy zero effect drop away, and i love it by the way
i have a Double STS on the way to try that out
and a Scott Little Goose for a trigger.

just got back from turkey hunting this weekend and had no luck we had some coming in at about 70 yards and  some Jack :censored: was driving down the road saw the turkeys and began to fire on the birds and killing one. and that about blew the only chance at a turkey for this weekend but i will be going out for another before long

how many of you are serious 3-D shooters? i just got into the game i shoot sporting clays for almost 7 years and it just got too costly for a college student. but i am offically addicted to 3-D and i have only been to 2 3-D's to date the first one i shot a 243 on a 30 target course without binos(won't make that mastake again) this last shoot i shoot a 290 on a 30 target course and that is all i want to do now.:biggrin1: it is a evil game don't try it unless you plan to do it alot

3D is a serious illness. It is how I got started. I bought my first bow because I wanted a longer deer season. Well 3 week after I got my bow, a friend said you gotta go shoot 3D. What's 3D I asked.

Well, that weekend I went and shot one. After that, I went every weekend for the entire summer. Still hit every one I can.

3D can get addicting, not so much for the competition but the fun of it all. I shot indoor and Video leagues for awhile, but it got pretty boring after awhile and just started shootig 3d's early last year.

RRussell, do they have any of the THE Deerman shoots down there? if so you really need to attend one of them, I just love the concept behind it. True Hunter Ethics. You don't get 5 points for a wound, they actually take 5 points away:rockon:

i don't know for sure but that does sound like a awesome game. we are starting a new club here in the Las Cruces area and i will bring that up at the next meeting that would be a fun one to bring more people out to the shoots. and 3-D is a blast. shooting sporting clays is a ton of fun too i still have not found anything like being in a shoot off at nationals with 2000 people behind you cheering and to walk up and smoke all the targets. but i bet big 3-d shoots have the same effect just have not been to one yet. sporting clays is expensive it cost me about three hundred a weekend just for entry fees and for a poor farm kid that was paying for it himself it go to be too much:Cry: so what does a big tournament cost to shoot say for a weekend shoot or something? the most i have spent so far at a shoot was $25 for a one day deal which is really cheap compaired to what i was doing.

Sounds as if there is no possibility of recovery for him:laugh:

Biggest 3D shoots we have in this area may be the Rhinehart 100 which was just a couple of weeks ago and only ran $40 for the two days. Some of the indoor spot shoots may run 60-80. Don't get to involved in those myself. The Deermans Triple Classic is about 20 and State Championships run 25.

I raced stock cars for about 7 years and believe me, I spend alot less $$ in shooting 3D and have just as much fun doing it. Not as much work involved in archery either.

glad to hear it all except for the problems with bowtech(thanks Bowman i appreciate it  ) jk the different types of bows are just like trucks ford and chevy dodge it is all opinion and just like they say "opinions are like #$%holes everybody's got one" so before we turn this into a bow bashing thread lets get back to having fun and talking about hunting and shootin 3-D.:peace: did anyone get a turkey yet? and it is awesome 3-D is cheap compaired to some stuff so that is good

Mobowman, what kind of stock car class did you race in, i raced mini sprints four 4 seasons, your right about the money, i spent more in the first year then i ever have or will in archery.... I got out of it due to politics at the track, was a awsome time though, got tons of grate photos and a few tropys out of it, and have no regrets for sure!!

My screen name tells my location (somewhere in the westen Pacific) few thousand mile west of Hawaii but a USA territory. I hunt Hogs and Sambar subspecies. Been shooting for about 24 yrs, 3d off and on for about 14 yrs. I am a decent shot and thanks to the internet I can tune most bows in the market today (really helps when you are this far from everything). Glad to be here and greatful for everyones tech help.
