and I couldn't even get within 5 miles of it because the area (road leading up to it) is just covered with Belton Lake. I saw 1st hand what all this rain we have gotten over the past 5 weeks has done. The creek leading up to the lake which runs parallel to the road I use to get to my spot was about 35 feet up and covering the road and a 1/4 of the adjoining hill. I have to get out QUICK and do some more scouting this coming weekend to find some new spots. Needless to say the deer are safe from ANY hunters in that area. Too bad they have a rule that you can't access the property with canoe/boat for the purpose of hunting.:noidea:
lol, Fort Hood rules state no access of hunting ground by floatation device at all. If I could, I'd have a little John Boat ready!!
Now that sucks........and it also sucks about no floatation device. Sorry to hear I hope you find a new spot and get some scoutin in soon.
Maybe we can talk ta God and git him ta let him walk on water just like ol Peter did. I mean after all i t is ta go bowhunting:biggrin1:
