he hasent bought a new bow in 10 years . so we set up one for him last night . ive set up bunches of these the same way . . he shoots last night and we get him sighted in to 20 yards . he comes back with his buddy today to shoot in the range . they go over and he wants to check it through paper . shoots a left tear . im telling him give it a chance its all different from what he doing and after he shoots for awhile will make the adjustments if necessary . not good enough for him . i tell him its him not the bow politely. he says ill let my buddy shoot it . he shoots it twice both bullet holes . gives it back and the orginal guy shoots left tear . he then tells me to shoot it two more bullet holes . sometimes i just hate paper .

You can't tell some people. You gave the advice, showed him, now you just have to let him do it his way. It's not worth getting upset over unless it's a safety issue.

I agree, it sounds like you done all you can now its up to him. Don't be too hard on yourself. We have all been thick headed and right about everything at one point in our lives. Then I met my wife and she proved me wrong from then on.

how much time does it take to loosen a arrow rest ,peck it over a little bit tighten it and have a happy shooter. I dont think you should have to adjust to a bow. you should adjust the bow to fit the shooters form and style. just my 2 cents worth. but I have been wrong before.

it wouldnt make any difference . he doesnt have his own style yet each time he grabs the bow its a little different . after he shoots a while like he did today he will get it . ive had people that want there bow paper tuned and they will take 4 shots and each shot will have a different tear .

well, I asume error in his form(hand torque?) caused his bad "unsatisfactory" shots...if he always torques it the same way, might it not be ok to bump his windage a little to the side to fix the swimming arrow. of course, nobody else will be able to shoot the bow straight.

i watch 1000s of arrows go down range . if a arrows is not flying straight i can pick usually pick it out going down range . as soon as i watch a person go to my paper tuner and push the string or kisser into the side of his face or use his sights to shoot through paper theres usually a problem . see most of you paper tune the shooter i paper tune the bow . if i go from paper to walk back tuning with my bows i hardly ever have to change anything. when i have a new shooter or one that wants to improve we paper tune the bow than ususally you can adjust the archer to shoot it correctly .sometimes both the paper shooting and the shooter come together at the same time but thats usually with the the more serious shooters . the rest usually get more accurate and comfortable quicker by doing it this way.doesnt always work but for the most time it does . il do it either way they want too . its up to them , but if they ask me il tell them which way i think is better for them.the whole thing is that they leave with a bow that feels right for them and they can get confident with .when this guy left yesterday he said it was the best hes ever shot and i had him sighted in to 35 yards .there where no further adjustments made to his bow after first set up . but he was told that when he was back in the area and wanted something changed there wouldnt be a problem or cost to him . he came 175 miles to have me set up his bow .
