It all depends on the day. I have let small ones walk and I have shot small ones. The only buck that I wont shoot knowingly is a button buck.

For me personally... If it's not big enough to go on the wall, then I will not shoot it. So that means 130" or larger is the goal.

Here is my BIGGEST buck to date.

My friends know me as a Doe hunter, I am not big on antlers. Though I think a week in Nebraska is about to change my ways.

I'm a meat hunter, Since I stopped consuming any/all commercial meat my asthma went away and other stuff. so for me, if it's legal, it groceries!

ive had the spotting scope and binos out many times this year and what ive seen so far, i wont take anything smaller then the 10 point ive been watching, hes not huge but a very nice deer, their 2 8s that are nice, id take one of them on the last week just to get a nicer buck if i cant arrow the 10, ive got 2 doe tags so i will not have a empty freezer.

in the past on the place we leased and managed ....a long horn spike... 6" plus.... otherwise i would take a doe as it was not a problem to fill your tags so the freezer stayed full

now where i am hunting this year buck or doe if it is legal i will shoot to get meat in the freezer

I would and have let button bucks pass, when I see the buttons :biggrin1: . Depends on how early in the season too. If I think it might be my last time out he better not dilly-dally around my stand.
