Anyone make a recommendation on glue for installing fletching on wood shafts? I was working on some recently and tried two different glues with fair results at best. I tried one of the superglue types and Bohning fletchtite Platinum. Neither worked very well. It took a long time for the glue to set up. I can use accelerator on the superglue type but it seems to make the glue a little brittle. Thanks for any advice
Vanes or feathers ? If feathers you could use tape strips... I'm not sure I've ever seen wood arrows with plastic vanes on them... Ron
Chris, 3Rivers Archery recommends fletching tape or Duco cement. Here's a link from their website about building wood arrows: http://www.3riversarchery.com/buildingwoodarrows.asp
Yeah, that's right I forgot about Duco cement... You can get a tube of that at any hardware store. Ron
