All you great archers out there up for some 3 spot. 4 week shot? I started a 3 spot 4 week in the smack down forum. We have
    Jay Are
    Wheels3
    Gator eye
    BOWMAN

Add your name to the list. But I have never done this before so I need input on how to run it. Do we total 4 weeks or have a sit down each week or what?

Me too me too...I guess you can score 10,9,8,7 etc for how many rings there are or however you want. As long as everyone scores the same. You deceide how many ends you want etc...just let us know and we'll do it.

We tried this not too long ago, but with 5 spot targets. It went well for a while then died out. I believe Bowman ran that one. He did a sit down type of deal.

You need to make the scoring random so that anyone has a chance to talk smack, even if they suck. If it were my deal, I would do a sit down shoot. Take everyones first round and sit the lowest score. If there is a tie, go to the next round for the tie breaker. Run it out to a winner. Give league points to the top 10 places with 1st place getting 10, second getting 9 and so on to 10th place getting 1 point. Keep this as a running total each week. Run the thing for 4 or 6 weeks and get Chris to donate a prize to the league winner. Heck, I'll give the winner a dozen wraps.

Vegas rounds can be 300 or 600 rounds. You shoot at a standard Vegas 3 spot target, one arrow in each of the 3 spots. Three arrows per end for 10 or 20 ends. 30 or 60 arrows total.

The center yellow with the X in it is 10 pts.
The next yellow ring is 9pts.
The next red ring is 8pts.
The next red ring is 7pts.
    The blue is 6pts.

This is shot from 20yds or 18 meters. For these forum shoots, an "X" can be scored as an 11 instead of a 10x.

This will work out great. The Scepter is dying to kill some "X"s for a reason and I thought I was gonna have to wait for the weather to turn cold before that would happen....

sorry the best I can come up with. Rings are marked.
I can get a clean target thursday and scan it. I can be printed in a thick peice of paper if you can not get one.
I will get you the measurments on the rings.
It is a little harder the 5 spot.

Here is a link to some new free archery software. There are two packages found on this site: XSight - creates and prints sight tapes and XPrint - prints multiple indoor target faces on a single 8x11 sheet of paper.

Check them out and see how useful they might be to you.

Just giving back something for all that I've been freely given.....

"www.huntsvillearcheryclub.com" and look for "Free Software" on the left menu.

    http://www.texasarchery.org/Documents/TinyTargets/TT.htm

This website has a macro that lets a person print target faces. You can print them full size or you can enter your available shooting distance and it will scale down the target appropriately. Great if you don't have 20 yards available to shoot from.:peace:
